Length of Stay: Two-night minimum.
Children: We welcome children of all ages, but note that we do not offer childcare services. Also, an adult must accompany children at all times.
Quiet Period: There is a quiet period in the house from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (no loud noises, but talking or watching TV in the guest suite is fine).
Reservation, Advance Deposit and Payment: All bookings require a deposit to hold your reservation – with the deposit equal to 50% of your stay. We will email a confirmation of your reservation within 24 hours of our receipt of the deposit.
The balance of your payment is due upon arrival. At that time, your card will be charged for the balance due for all room nights reserved. We accept Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
Cancellation: We understand that travel plans can change. However, last minute cancellations are difficult to fill as folks typically reserve stays far in advance. And, we may have turned down other reservation requests in order to ensure that our guest suite is there for you. Your reservation is our mutual agreement to hold your lodging for you and to make it unavailable to others. We hope you understand that, with only one guest suite, we must strictly enforce our cancellation policy.
We have a 28-day cancellation policy. If you cancel before the 28-day period begins, we will refund your deposit less a $25 cancellation fee. If you instead cancel within the 28-day period, we will refund your deposit (less the cancellation fee) only if we are able to re-book your room.
To protect yourself from any unforeseen situation resulting in a cancellation or change of your reservation, we encourage you to obtain travel insurance. If you decline travel insurance coverage, you are accepting financial responsibility for your reservation if you cancel (or otherwise change the dates of your visit) within the 28-day period.
If you do wish to change your reservation, please notify us ASAP. If you use email, don’t assume it is received until you get a response. Sorry, we don’t have texting resources. For a cancellation to be valid, you must obtain a cancellation confirmation by telephone or email from us.
Unless appropriately rescheduled or cancelled within the time frames above, guests are responsible for the full reservation amount. No Shows who do not notify us at all will be charged the entire reservation price.
Check-in: Between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. Please call us if you are running late or if you wish to drop off your bags before 3:00 p.m. (so as to ensure we are at the house).
Checkout: By 10:30 a.m.
Smoking: Smoking of any kind (including cigar and marijuana) is not allowed anywhere inside the house. Smoking is permitted outside, but in designated areas only. Smoking outside those areas or on trails is a fire hazard and is not permitted.
Please be courteous to our future guests and sensitive to fire safety. We have a very tight house, and it would be very difficult to remove all effects of smoking inside. Accordingly, you may be asked to leave if you violate the no-smoking rule. Also, if you are found to have smoked in your room, we will charge an additional $250 for cleaning of the bedding, blinds and carpets.
Pets: Pets are not allowed. We can provide you with several local boarding options.
